"First Responder (Saver)" course using virtual reality technology
Duration of the course:
The course is offered over one day (maximum two hours) in attendance at the Academy of Sciences Center for Medical Education in Riyadh and Jeddah.
Time:
Once registered, the participant can attend directly to the academy at the time available for the following training:
Every day except Friday from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Topics covered by the program:
- Stop the Bleeding
Through this topic, participants will learn:
- How to properly deal with cases of bleeding
- Know the components and tools of a stop-bleed bag.
- Steps to stop bleeding according to the standards approved by the American College of Surgeons.
- Dealing with choking for adults and infants
Through this topic, participants will learn:
- Causes of suffocation.
- Proper emergency methods that you must follow when trying to rescue a suffocating person.
- CPR: cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Through this topic, participants will learn:
- Know how to assess consciousness and, pulse, and monitor breathing.
- When does a patient need CPR?
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation steps.
- Use of an electric shock device through
this topic, participants will learn:
- Recognize the electroshock device.
- When should the defibrillator be used?
- Steps to use the electric shock device to save the patient's life.
