The Academy of Sciences if pleased to announce the 2nd All Level Trauma Care (ALTC) conference which will be held virtually, using a 3D platform, on November 6-8, 2021. This event is a continuation of a yearly series of ALTC that target all personnel working in trauma at all levels; from pre-hospital to rehabilitation
Description of the Event
The above mentioned highlight the importance of Trauma awareness, education, systems, registrars, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
COVID-19 pandemic did not make this complex disease management easier.
In 2020, the Academy of Sciences (AOS) identified the need to maintain a global network to address Trauma at all levels. ALTC 2020 was a great success; more than 200 leaders chaired sessions and addressed more than 3,000 healthcare providers and pioneers joined from 50 countries worldwide.
The feedback and level of satisfaction was huge. ALTC 2021 aims to address Trauma at all levels amid a pandemic, taking into consideration the limitations and the global needs for comprehensive, low cost, efficient, and reachable trauma systems and registries, while also addressing Trauma quality and appropraite measures to put in place for an improved system.
The activity will be a hybrid conference, using a 3D virtual platform to bypass the pandemic and travel limitations and reach out to healthcare providers from all specialties, at all levels, from all the globe. It will be conducted over 2 days with 6 parallel sessions, on November 6-8, 2021 (starting at 15:00 Riyadh time, GMT+3) and will be submitted to local and international accreditations.
Workshops will be conducted 1-2 weeks after the conference.
Conference Objectives:
By the end of this activity, attendees will be able to:
- Understand the process and components of trauma systems, and connect with leaders for possibility of implementation in their respective countries
- Evaluate the best modalities for trauma systems and trauma quality programs that benefit their organizations the most
- Understand the meaning and the need of trauma registries, coding, injury severity index, and ways for their implementation
- Differentiate between trauma causes amid the pandemic, and the economic status
- Familiarize with the updates in trauma management at all levels, from Prehospital to rehabilitation, including disaster management, and education.
