Course Guidline:
- ASLS Heartcode Course duration 4 hours - Starting from 9 AM
- Participant must arrive 15 Min before course timing "Late comers aren't allowed to enter".
- Participant order will be confirmed within 24H and you will receive only order confirmation notifiction first.
- Participant then will receive an access for the course "Ebook" and "Heartcode" online part in their email.
- Participant must complete the Heartcode online part before coming to the course and make sure he has the Heartcode certificate.
- Participant will receive a reminder a day before the course with the final attending details ( Location, Timing..etc).
Course Description
The new Advanced Stroke Life Support Blended Learning course will educate healthcare professionals to identify, evaluate, and manage patients with stroke.
The International English (IVE) training materials have been adapted to include global stroke epidemiology, differences in the availability treatment options, stroke systems of care and international stroke care quality improvement programs.
COURSE OPTIONS:
The new ASLS courses offers 3 provider course tracks.
Prehospital Provider Course:
- Highlights the principles of prehospital stroke management that make up the cur-rent standard of care, such as determining when to call
- a stroke alert and quickly transport the patient to the nearest appropriate facility
- Explains how to communicate the patient’s symptoms, time of onset, and neuro-logic exam clearly and succinctly with hospital personnel
In-Hospital Provider Course:
- Focuses on the importance of an organized approach to treating stroke patients for improved outcomes
- Discusses the etiologic evaluation and secondary stroke prevention for stroke patients
- Describes the management of goals for acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, and subarachnoid hemorrhage
- Outlines post-acute care management including supportive medical care, rehabilitation, and discharge planning for stroke patients
Prehospital & In-Hospital Provider Course:
- Combines all of the components of the Prehospital and In-Hospital courses, and is best suited for healthcare providers who work in both environments, as well as ASLS instructor candidates that will be conducting the in-person skills testing for learners from both audiences
BLENDED LEARNING FORMAT
Blended learning uses online technology not only to supplement but also to transform and improve the learning process. It is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self- directed manner, followed by an in-person skills test with an ASLS instructor.
