Course Description:
The course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of Caregiving NC II in accordance with industry standards. It consists of competencies that a person must achieve to provide care and support to infants/toddlers, provide care and support to children, foster social, intellectual, creative and emotional development of children, foster the physical development of children, provide care and support to elderly, provide care and support to people with special needs, maintain healthy and safe environment, respond to emergency, managing client’s environment including; bedroom, dining room, toilet and bathroom; managing patient clothes, linen, fabric, and prepare hot and cold meals.
Course Objectives:
- Provide Care to Specific Groups: Learn how to assist and support infants and toddlers, children, the elderly (geriatric care), and individuals with special needs.
- Maintain a Healthy Environment: Foster a clean, safe, and hygienic living space that prevents infections and promotes well-being.
- Respond to Emergencies: Handle urgent health situations, apply basic first aid techniques, and manage difficult or challenging behaviors.
- Manage or perform household tasks: Manage meal preparation, cleaning, and general home management duties aligned with client needs.
- Ensure Professionalism: Practice effective workplace communication, teamwork, and occupational health and safety protocols
Target Audience:
- Filipinos and other nationalities;
- 16 years old and above
- At least high school graduate
- Any individuals with different academic backgrounds with or without bachelor’s degree who would like to upskill or reskill, and those who want to change career path to healthcare.
TRAINING CERTIFICATES to be received at the end of the Training.
- TESDA Training Certificate for Caregiving NCII with OJT (TESDA Registered and NCII Ready)
- Providing care for Newborn to Toddler
- Providing Care for Adult
- Providing care for Special Needs
- Academy of Sciences-USDI Institutional Certificate
- American Heart: Heart Saver (First Aid-CPR-AED)
- National Competency (NCII) Certificate from TESDA or TVTC
- Clinical Experience Certificate/OJT Certificate from Partner Hospital
